There’s no doubt that well-designed marketing communication products can have a major impact on organisational performance. But what about operational and technical products – does their design really impact performance in a meaningful way ? The evidence is clear that it can and here’s an example which illustrates the point. By re-designing its online enrolment form a university recently halved the level of form abandonment. The result: (1) an increase in enrolments; (2) more satisfied students; and (3) reduced administration costs. Now that’s impact !
